News anchoring is not journalism. All the news anchor does is read content compiled by someone else. Actually, the news casting profession is more honest now days. Decades ago the news anchoring profession had allusions to journalism. News anchors had to be trusted by the viewers. Why is trust a requirement for a new anchor? They have not researched the news they read on air.
